Christmas Cards

A few weeks ago I designed these Christmas cards...I don't usually like to do Christmassy things early so this was a first for me! I wanted to show winter in different locations and chose to do the countryside, town and city. They've been sent off for print so I'm looking forward to seeing how they look as cards!

The Return of the River Hub Part II

So...a good few months ago I decided to produce an image to sit alongside my London River Hub print. I wanted to keep with the river theme but change the city; and of course I had to chose Bristol! I was never really pleased with the outcome so recently decided to scrap two thirds of the image and start again. Here is the result!

REALLY don't wanna jinx the weather but came across this earlier. I started the image a while ago to go with my 'Summer's Here' print, but never quite got round to finishing it. Still needs some tweeking.... so hopefully I'll have it done by winter!

Animals!

I was recently asked to produce a character sample of some cutesy animals. The last time I remember drawing an animal (properly) was when I was about 13...it was a portrait of my Grandparents HUGE Alsatian Jamie, and as gorgeous as he was, he wasn't exactly 'cutesy'! Anyway, here are some snippets!

The River Hub Part II

Following the recent success of my River Hub image, I decided to extend the river theme and produce a small series of images based on different river locations. My next location of course had to be Bristol so I set to work! This is my initial outcome but it will need a lot of changing before I'm happy with it!

This image I produced is currently featured in 'The River Thames' exhibition at the London Transport Museum and is on until 3rd June. It is one of the 50 images nominated for The Serco Prize for Illustration 2011 and is worth a visit!

The sun is out! (Naturally, as I write this... it disappears!) This is just something I did in celebration of all the beautiful weather we've been having recently and an ode to my bank holiday beach trip. I'd like to think I was one of the sunbathers, but if I'm being honest I spent most of the time trying to stop my 4yr old niece from filling my bag with sand!
